Liz & Mark – Arenas del Mar

Liz and Mark were a sweet, sweet couple and their wedding day was nothing short of perfection. The sun shone, the birds sang and the tide even cooperated. The setting was the gorgeous Arenas del Mar, a luxury beach hotel that is also eco-friendly. The colour palette was aqua blue, dark blue, crisp white and canary yellow with a suble starfish theme. Here are some favourite images of the ceremony details…

Guests were greeted at the beach with a ‘shoe valet’ where they could kick off their shoes and enjoy the soft sand between their toes. Chilled towels were available to help folks ‘keep their cool’ (the small basket on the ground was for used towels – it’s all about the details 😉

A basket filled with cheerful parasols was on hand with a cheeky little sign (sorry, I couldn’t resist the double-entendre when making the sign). But I think a sense of fun is important to the day, especially when the couple is so fun loving.

Parasols are not only great for keeping guests comfortable during a sunny ceremony but make for fab photo props!

Sandlewood fans were a thoughtful touch that guests used and appreciated – if you’re having an outdoor ceremony or reception, consider providing some kind of fan as they are incredibly useful! We attached a small tag with the wedding logo, to give an added punch of colour. Banana leaf cones filled with rose petals are biodegradable – just toss onto the sand after the ceremony and Mother Nature will take care if them.

Aisle chairs were decorated with blue hydrangea balls, festooned with ribbons in the wedding colours, which ruffled nicely in the breeze.

Hydrangeas and ribbons covered the canopy while white rose petals covered the aisle. A lovely, crisp and breezy setting for this beachside affair.

And one of my favourite moments – the recesional with colouful petals floating down upon the happy couple. Wedding magic!

A big thanks to Julie Comfort of Comfort Studios for her wonderful photographs! More to come on the reception…

Thanks Kate! Unfortunately, not able to make it – have weddings in June and then we are going to a wedding in Vegas in October. Maybe next year! Are you going?
